| Grief and Growth is an eight-week support group that helps individuals understand the dynamics of grief and provides a safe environment in which they can express feelings. The program is available to adults who have experienced the death of a loved one through illness, accident, or suicide.
The goal of Grief and Growth is not to resolve the grieving process, but to assist the bereaved in working through the powerful emotions that accompany the death of a loved one. Professionals and past participants share information about normal grief reactions and help group members discover the skills they need to begin again.
Through fundraising efforts and memorial donations, Hospice of Siouxland will offer this program as a service to the Siouxland Community. There are not registration fees. Pre-registration is required and the group size is limited. A six month time period from the time of your loss until a person would participate in the support group is recommended.
