Excellence in hospice care is of utmost importance to management and staff of Hospice of Siouxland. Quality of care is measured in several aspects---one of the most important being family satisfaction. This has been measured primarily by feed back from families through a satisfaction survey. The results are compared with other Iowa and National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization providers.

Family Satisfaction Surveys are sent to every family served by Hospice of Siouxland. Survey results guide hospice leadership and team members to assure the highest quality of care.
Pain management is an important aspect of hospice services. It is our belief that each individual has the right to have his/her pain managed to a desired pain level.

Quality of life is a goal that Hospice strives to achieve.
Quality of life is unique for each person cared for by Hospice. Quality of life can be achieved with comfort measures, emotional and spiritual support, respect for treatment choices, respect for the dignity of each individual and understanding of the personal closure required for each individual to achieve peace.
